The two main investments a company will have to do in order to succeed its digital marketing goals is setting up SEO campaigns & building a high quality email database. Two important tools in the company’s arsenal to drive sales.
In previous post, I did a small analysis on SEO campaigns. Now it is the proper time to have a post on email marketing. Why? Because Google’s innovation once more have spoken.
Google just launched a new product that will allow companies that invest on building email database to benefit from that! The new product is called Customer Match and it was announced at Advertising Week’s Rime Center Stage. From the day it was announced, the Customer Match was available for marketers and clients to use.
The mechanism is quite straightforward. The user uploads the email marketing list into the Google Adwords platform. Google, uses that list in order to directly target those that are signed into a Google account.
With the numbers of Google Accounts skyrocketing (Gmail, YouTube, etc), such strategy can work smoothly in both PPC & Display campaigns. Imagine, you are an e-commerce business that has a lot of customers and you wish to target them while searching google or watching a video in YouTube. Through that innovative service, you can get your message out in front of those users without “filling up” their inbox.
I could write some more ideas, regarding the use of such service, but then you will not have the chance to meet me in person or through skype!
